COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) - Columbus Police are asking the public's help in locating a suspect in a deadly shooting that killed a teenager Wednesday night.
Police say they were called to the Walgreen’s on Wynnton Road around 6 pm Wednesday, November 21. When they arrived, they found 19-year-old Tommy Jones III suffering from a gunshot wound. They rushed Jones to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators have released a description of the shooter based on eyewitness accounts.
He’s described as approximately 6’ tall, with a slender build. Witnesses say he wore a t-shirt and dark-colored jeans. Police say the suspect sped away in a dark-colored four-door sedan eastbound on Wynnton Road, toward Interstate 185.
