Auburn's Brown named SEC Player of the Week

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn guard Bryce Brown was tabbed the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

He shares the honor with Tennessee's Grant Williams. It is Brown's first career weekly honor from the conference.

Brown broke the Auburn record for most career 3-pointers made with 264 following his third bucket from downtown against Arizona in the finale of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. The previous record of 262 was held by Wesley Person (1990-94).

The senior led the team in scoring at 17.0 points per game and reached double figures in all three contests during the tournament last week. He racked up at least four 3-pointers in games against Arizona, Duke and Xavier.

Brown was second on the team at plus-26 on the floor while playing over 36 minutes per game during the tournament.

Auburn returns to the court Wednesday, Nov. 28 when it hosts Saint Peter's. Tip time is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at Auburn Arena.
